You decide which web sites or servers you want monitoring and enter these into your control panel along with other parameters such as frequency, method of monitoring (Ping, HTTP, Pop3 Etc.), e-mail and SMS contact phone numbers Etc.
We then have a series of machines permanently connected to the internet, each with the monitor software running on it. These monitors will periodically read the parameters you have defined and use them to interogate your servers.
Any problems will then be presented on your control panel but also e-mailed or sent to you personally via mobile phone text messaging (SMS). You can feel assured that you will be notified of any problems with any of your systems immediately.
Our system monitors communicate with each other so that if one or more of these machines fail, the rest will take over. This ensures that although your web servers may have problems, our monitors will continue to operate and report any problems as soon as they are detected.
You can then use your web based control panel in any web browser or on a PDA, to modify your parameters, view logs and enable or disable monitors as required.
Under normal circumstances, you will be notified twice for any system failure - once when a system error is reported and again when the problem has been rectified (E.g. when the server comes back up)
We are currently developing a new "WAP Manager" which also allows you to manage your configurations using any WAP enabled mobile phone from anywhere in the world.
